ABOUT THE WHITE HORSE INN

The White Horse Inn occupies an enviable location in the heart of a small and pretty rural Somerset village, yet is just a short distance from the county town of Taunton and a few minutes from the M5 motorway - well worth the small detour for a relaxing and refreshing break from long tiring journeys (Coaches are welcome by prior appointment).
But the White Horse also plays a full role in the life of the village and surrounding areas. There is a comfortable public (social) bar offering a full range of alcoholic and soft drinks together with an appetising bar menu for those wanting an informal snack or meal. There is a separate restaurant with an A La Carte menu supplemented by daily specials.
There's also a large beer garden, a skittle alley and function room with a series of events ranging from table top sales and social evenings for the local community to live music for a wider audience.
(You might also like to keep an eye out for the various musical instruments available for informal entertainment).
All in all, The White Horse is pretty special and well worth a visit.

We offer a choice of menus ranging from lighter bar snacks to full meals in our restaurant. Our a la carte menu is supplemented with daily specials (please see the boards) and all our food is sourced locally with all dishes home made and prepared freshly to order.
As most dishes are made to order using fresh ingedients, our chef is happy to prepare dishes to suit your own taste or dietary requirements. (If possible, a day's notice of special requirements will be appreciated).
Our current standard menus are available below for you to browse online or download. Please don't hesitate to telephone us for details of today's specials.
We have also prepared a special children's menu, again with all items home made (even including the chicken nuggets!).
Food is served from 12 noon to 2.00pm and from 6.00pm to 9.00pm Monday to Saturday, and from 12 noon to 3.00pm on Sunday. [Please contact us in advance if you would like to eat outside of these hours]
